FOC Calculator

Calculate Front of Center (FOC) for archery arrows. Optimize arrow weight distribution for better stability, penetration, and accuracy in hunting and target shooting.

FOC Calculator

Front of Center (FOC) measures how much of an arrow's weight is concentrated toward the front. Higher FOC improves stability, wind resistance, and penetration.

FOC Guidelines

Formula:
FOC% = [(Balance Point - Arrow Length/2) / Arrow Length] × 100

What is FOC in Archery?

FOC (Front of Center) measures how much of an arrow's weight is concentrated toward the front (point end). It's expressed as a percentage and calculated by comparing the arrow's balance point to its exact center. Higher FOC arrows are more stable in flight and penetrate better.

FOC Recommendations

  • Target/3D Shooting: 8-12% FOC
  • General Hunting: 12-15% FOC
  • Big Game Hunting: 15-19% FOC
  • EFOC (Extreme FOC): 19-30% FOC
